In the era of digital transformation, cybersecurity is becoming the cornerstone of a stable and modern economy. Poland has taken another step to strengthen the resilience of its IT systems. This time, the focus is on the Polish healthcare and energy sectors. The Polish government has allocated PLN 28 million for cybersecurity development. The funds will support the creation of two specialized incident response teams (CSIRTs).
Cybersecurity in Polish healthcare
The Polish e-Health Centre (Centrum e-Zdrowia) will receive over PLN 13 million. The funding will support the launch and development of a CSIRT team. This team will monitor, analyze, and neutralize threats in the digital healthcare environment. The goal is clear: ensure rapid incident response, help hospitals improve security, and boost the overall system’s resilience.As a result, patient data will be better protected, and medical services will become more stable. These are, after all, the foundations of trust and operational efficiency.
The Polish energy sector under digital supervision
A second CSIRT team will be established within the Polish Ministry of Climate and Environment. This ministry has been granted nearly PLN 14.5 million in funding. In the growing energy sector, digital protection is just as vital as physical infrastructure. The new team will detect and respond to threats in real time. It will also create a platform for information sharing. This tool is essential for coordination and quick response to cyberattacks.
Cybersecurity investments – a signal to investors
