Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone

The Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone (KSSSE), established in 1997, is one of the largest and fastest-growing economic zones in Poland. Strategically located in western Poland, the Zone spans across the Lubuskie, West Pomeranian, and Greater Poland Voivodeships, placing it at the crossroads of major European trade and transport routes.

Extensive territorial coverage

KSSSE manages investment areas across:

  • 35 counties
  • 5 cities with county rights
  • 283 municipalities

This broad territorial scope allows the Zone to offer a wide range of investment opportunities tailored to the needs of both domestic and international investors.

Comprehensive investment support

The KSSSE provides decisions on support, enabling investors to benefit from the most significant form of financial incentive in Poland – income tax exemptions (CIT or PIT). These incentives are available to eligible companies establishing or expanding their operations within the Zone.

  • Full assistance in obtaining tax exemptions
  • Central European location – near the borders with Germany and the Czech Republic
  • Integration with international road networks: E30 (A2), E65 (A3), E28
  • Direct rail access along the Paris–Berlin–Warsaw–Moscow corridor
  • Proximity to seaports in Szczecin and Świnoujście and inland ports in Berlin and Hamburg via the Oder and Warta rivers
  • Convenient access to international airports in Berlin, Goleniów, Babimost, and Poznań

Economic impact

The Zone’s success is evident in its long-term contribution to regional and national economic development:

  • Over PLN 10 billion in total capital investment since inception
  • Creation of more than 36,000 jobs in the Zone’s territory
