Veeam Software opens office in Warsaw. Data protection in the EMEA region

Veeam Software, a U.S.-based IT company, is opening a new office in Warsaw. This new location will operate as a regional hub for a team supporting the company’s operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The plan includes hiring around 200 employees – primarily in sales, engineering, technical support, and customer service roles. These teams will help drive Veeam’s mission of delivering world-class data protection solutions.

The office is located in Warsaw’s Praga Koneser Center – a space that continues to attract international technology companies. For Veeam, this marks a significant strategic decision. Poland is gaining traction as a growing tech hub, offering access to highly skilled talent and a solid infrastructure.

Veeam’s vision for the EMEA region: data Protection

Data protection is one of the core pillars of Veeam’s business. The company supports more than 550,000 organizations worldwide, delivering solutions that help businesses safeguard their data, recover quickly from disruptions, and maintain operational continuity.

According to IDC, Veeam ranked first in the global enterprise data protection software market in 2024. In Poland, the company is also a market leader, holding a 22.1% share. Strengthening operations in Warsaw is not only an investment in growth. It also reinforces Veeam’s position in a market where it already performs very well.

Why Poland?

As Tim Pfaelzer, Senior Vice President for EMEA at Veeam, explains, the decision to expand in Poland is driven by two factors: the availability of highly qualified talent and the country’s strategic location. Today, Poland is more than just a dot on the map – it’s an established center of expertise, particularly in areas related to new technologies and data security.

This move is part of a broader trend. More global IT companies are relocating regional operations to Poland. They choose Poland not only for cost-efficiency. They also value its talent, technical infrastructure, and strong cooperation.

An investment with potential

Opening Veeam’s Warsaw office is further proof that Poland is no longer seen merely as a back-office location for Western Europe. Instead, it is increasingly recognized as a place where new products are developed. It’s also where global strategies are shaped and critical decisions are made. For professionals, this creates real opportunities to work in an international environment. For the broader market, it marks another step in strengthening Poland’s role as a key partner for global companies in the field of data protection.
